A VERY ATTRACTIVE THREE-FACED, CLEAR QUARTZ CRYSTAL WITH INCLUSIONS OF PAPAGOITE, AJOITE AND NATIVE COPPER

This clear quartz crystal has a well formed three faced termination, but only a small amount of side stem (shaft).

The three faces are as follows:

Face 1)     black and azure blue  AJOITE  fibres
                  with strands of  NATIVE  COPPER,  visable
                  to the naked eye (better viewed under a
                  microscope).  (approx 60% black and 
                  40% azure blue  AJOITE)

Face 2) black and azure blue  AJOITE fibres
             (approx  30% black and 60% azure blue 
             AJOITE  and 10%  clear quartz)

Face 3) black and azure blue  AJOITE  fibres plus
             good  showing  of  PAPAGOITE  (approx
             10% black and 45%  azure  blue   AJOITE
             and 45%  deep sky  blue  PAPAGOITE)  

All damage on this well preserved specimen is natural and there is partial regrowth on the bottom of the shaft. White microscopic KAOLINITE balls are also visable under the microscope.
