Shipping and Postage

We can ship/post to virtually any address in the world, but  please note that the shippping/postage cost is not included in your original invoice and will only be calculated once you give us permission to send your order.  This will give us time to investigate the best price and transportation solution to ensure your order arrives swiftly and safely at your location.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping/postage and delivery dates for you based on the weight of your items and the transporting option you choose. Depending on this, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping/postage rates for most orders are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page, (you'll need to allow a little extra weight for packaging). To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilogram.

No orders will be sent until the shipping cost is paid in full - we do not offer payment terms.

It is impossible to give an accurate shipping quote in advance due to fluctuating exchange rates, fuel prices, seasonal increases, etc.  Below we offer several methods of sending your order to you and give you a very basic idea of what the shipping/postage costs are likely to be for each mode of transportation.  PLEASE REMEMBER THESE PRICES ARE NOT ACCURATE AND ARE ONLY TO BE USED AS A GUIDELINE:

a.  International Airport to International Airport - Airfreight

We deliver packages to the airport once a week.  Once the flight is confirmed it will take four (4) days to reach your airport.  If your order exceeds $2000, you will probably need to use an agent.  Custom duty will be charged depending on the value of your goods.  This varies from state to state and country to country.

Most of our packages fly via British Air; Air Qantas; KLM or Singapore Airlines.

A minimum charge for orders at all airports is approximately ZR1350 - ZR1380, then the following applies:

SYDNEY AND BRISBANE - Air Qantas - their minimum charge covers up to 40kg, thereafter a rate of approx ZR28 per kilogram is levied.

HEATHROW AND ALL UK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS - British Airways - their minimum charge covers up to 40kgs, thereafter a rate of approx ZR27 per kilogram is levied.

ZURICH AND AMSTERDAM - British Airways - their minimum charge covers up to 40kg, therafter a rate of approx ZR35 per kilogram is levied.

TOKYO - Singapore Airlines - their minimum charge covers up to 50kgs, thereafter a rate of approx ZR27 per kilogram is levied.

MIAMI AIRPORT (U.S.A.) - British Airways - their minimum charge covers up to 30kgs, thereafter a rate of approx ZR36 per kilogram is levied.

JFK (NEW YORK); PHILADELPHIA AND BALTIMORE AIRPORTS (U.S.A.) - British Airways - their minimum charge covers up to 38kgs, thereafter a rate of approx ZR39 per kilogram is levied.

SALT LAKE CITY;  SEATTLE;  CINCINNATI AND PORTLAND OREGON AIRPORTS - (U.S.A.) - British Airways - their minimum charge covers up to 30kgs, thereafter a rate of approx ZR43 per kilogram is levied.

DALLAS FORT WORTH, TEXAS, CHICAGO AND DETROIT AIRPORTS (U.S.A.) - British Airways - their minimum charge will cover up to 30kgs, thereafter a rate of approx ZR40 per kilogram is levied.

BANKOK AIRPORT - British Airways - their minimum charge will cover up to 38kgs, thereafter a rate of approx ZR27 per kilogram will be levied.

NOTE:  THESE ARE ONLY ESTIMATED COSTS AND WILL FLUCTUATE WITH EXCHANGE RATES, ETC.

  b.  Sea Freight

This is only used when you are purchasing in bulk (Wholesale) and the weight exceeds 200 kgs (440lbs).  On average it takes up to forty (40) days and you will have to, by law, use a shipping agent.  Custom duties will be charged.

Shipping costs average $250 - $280 per cubic metre plus approximately $300 will be charged for the agent, documentation and wharfage per shipment.

c.  Airmail  and Surface Mail (Postal Service)

Airmail is a normal postal service and only really suitable for small size (and weight) items. Once a package exceeds 10kgs (22lbs) it becomes very expesive to send via postal services.  Packages sent via Airmail generally take up to two (2) weeks from date of postage to reach your location.  As this method is expensive it is only recommended for items which are very light.  Maximum weight per parcel varies between countries, but averages 20 - 30 kilograms.

EUROPE - average minimum cost per package ZR100 + ZR6 for insurance + ZR84 per kg

U.S. AMERICA - average minimum cost per package ZR75.50 + ZR6 for insurance +  ZR131 per kg

CANADA, AUSTRALIA AND JAPAN - average minimum cost per package ZR70.50 + ZR6 for insurance + ZR117 per kg

 Surface Mail is by far the cheapest method of posting but it can take up to twelve (12) weeks for you to receive your package.  If you plan well ahead, or do not need your items urgently, then this is the most cost effective method to use.  Please remember that items exceeding 25kgs (55lbs) cannot go via postal service.

The Post Office has it's own tracking system, but parcels can be tracked on www.sapo.co.za.

EUROPE - average minimum cost per package is ZR102+ ZR6 for insurance + ZR18 per kg

U.S. AMERICA - average minimum cost per package is ZR75.50 + ZR6 for insurance + ZR29 per kg

CANADA; AUSTRALIA AND JAPAN - average minimum cost per package is ZR72 + ZR6 for insurance + ZR18 per kg

d.  Courier Service

This works out about four times more expensive than airmail, but will only take between six (6) and ten (10) days to reach your destination.  Unless you are purchasing a very expensive item, or are in a hurry to receive your package, we would not recommend this service.

Please note that courier fees exclude fuel surcharges and customs. 

Unless otherwise requested, we will look for the best priced and most efficient option of transportation for your package and inform you prior to your goods being sent.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

a)  to ensure that we can guarantee your package reaches you timeously should you need items for a "show" or some other deadline, you would need to send your order in at least three (3) to four (4) weeks prior.

b)  once we have received instructions from you to "pack and send", we cannot make any changes to your order.

c)  once the freight price has been quoted and an invoice generated it will be e-mailed to you.  This invoice needs to be paid in full before the goods will be released from our warehouse.

d)  payment details are sent with the invoice.  We accept direct bank transfers, credit cards, Swift and PAY PAL). Invoices paid by cheque (check) will not be released until the cheque (check) has been banked and cleared.  WE  DO  NOT  OFFER  PAYMENT  TERMS.

e)  once the packaged has been despatched to you full details and tracking numbers will be e-mailed to you.
