The most sort after colour is a dark blue, but it can also be found in white, purple and yellow-green. Often confused with LAPIS LAZULI, it is found in massive form, (crystals are extremely rare) and it's used extensively for cladding, tiles, carvings, stonework and jewellery.
The largest deposit of SODALITE in southern Africa is found in northern Namibia and some good quality specimens have come out of Zimbabwe.
SODALITE is a universal healing crystal, releasing gentle waves of power that spread throughout the system. It is a very cooling stone and will help calm both physical and emotional overheating, (for example high blood-pressure and a racing pulse).
It is regarded as a gentler healing stone than LAPIS LAZURI, or TUQUOISE. SODALITE unites logic with intuition and opens spiritual perception; an excellent tool to use when meditating, as it brings information from the higher mind down to tbe physical level.
SODALITE is also very good at clearing electromagnetic pollution. Use SODALITE when working with the Third Eye and Throat Chakras.
