MANGANITE was a valuable MANGANESE ore when it was found in plentiful deposits. Large deposits have become fairly  rare and it is now considered a minor ore, despite its high Manganese content. In a massive form it is difficult to distinguished from other Manganese minerals, but the crystals are quite distinctive as they are typically short prismatic in shape with a blunt termination which could be domed or have minor pyramid faces.

MANGANITE is believed to help dispense with attachments, release grief and help one from becoming involved in a controlled relationship. Used by healers to dispel mental anguish and to teach one self - love and self - respect.
