Although LABRADORITE can look plain and dull, when it's polished it flashes glorious colours of peacock blues. This play of light is called "labradorescence" (after the mineral ) and the flashes of colour are caused by the light being refracted back and forth between the layers, which were formed by temperature changes in its growth.
LABRADORITE is used by healers and light workers to balance and protect the aura. It stimulates the imagination and enthusiasm and enhances patience. Very useful when used to reduce blood pressure and alleviate the begining of a cold.
We have many specimens of LABRADORITE to select from, betweeen 35mm and 45mm long and weighing between 20gm and 40gm. All the specimens have one polished face, good strong blue/green colours and excellent schillerisation. Please contact us and let us know what you require and we will forward photo's and details.
