Chrysocolla and Malachite

CHRYSOCOLLA/MALACHITE are two of three major copper bearing minerals, which form in the oxidized zones of copper deposits.  Pure CHRYSOCOLLA/MALACHITE is soft and fragile and not suitable to be made into jewelry, although it can occur in a highly silicified, or, agitated, form that makes beautiful cabochons.   Found in copper mines worldwide, good quality CHRYSOCOLLA/MALACHITE can be found in Zambia and South Africa.

As the combination of the two colors represent heaven and earth, the power of CHRYSOCOLLA/MALACHITE, like balancing scales, can act to stimulate the mind and relax the emotions at the same time.  It is believed to help combine creative ideas with new practical applications, as it reacts upon your analytical and intuitive abilities.
