Azurite and Malachite

Both AZURITE and MALACHITE are secondary copper minerals and occur in the oxidized zones of copper bearing deposits. Although AZURITE is not as widely spread as MALACHITE, they are often banded together when massive, and although a relatively soft mineral, lumps of massive AZURITE can be cut and polished for lapidary purposes.

The word AZURITE is believed to have derived from the French word "azure" (meaning the blue colour of the sky). The wise men of ancient times, and many healers to this day, powder it down and used it as a colour pigment. It is believed AZURITE enhances physic development and spiritual guidance, and will increase the flow of the life forces through the body.

A combination of AZURITE and MALACHITE will facilitate in opening the Heart and Throat Chakras, and works well during times of crisis, should families and loved ones, need to resolve problems with dialog.
